Obelisk was in sound structural shape when we moved to Virginia to outfit her for the trip, however, for an undertaking this grand, it is necessary to examine every facet of the boat, repair what needs to be repaired, improve existing systems and add some that previously were not needed. We gathered information and opinions from other sailors, brainstormed ourselves and picked Herb Smith's brain for everything we needed to address and, in so doing, created our "Big List." The list is ever-evolving and will continue to grow even as the trip gets commences and we shake down the Obelisk.
Tasks begin in the left column in red and are moved to the right column and green lettering as they are completed. Only once a project is 100% completed will it be moved to the right-hand column. Many of the projects in the "To Do" column have been started but require finishing touches before we consider them complete.
