Hello Guys,
I came to your site from a link at the Eye of the World website.
I am a Uruguayan who now lives in USA. When I saw that you stopped in La Paloma I wanted to see how you did like my country. I read that you found La Paloma empty. Well, La Paloma and other beach towns live pretty much during summer (January and February) and the rest of the year they are almost ghost towns with few locals.
It's a pity that you didn't have more time to visit Uruguay.
I wish you the best in your adventure...I envy you somehow but for now, and with family, for me sailing is about family adventures in small trailer sailboats.
Greetings from sunny but cold Florida,
So grateful for the update of you HORN adventures... My office staff is cheering you all on... Even more grateful for the news you had no idea there was an earthquake much less Tsunami warnings !!! A little worrisome for a "land lover" like me...
Can not wait to hear about your journey... at least part 1...
Praying for continued safety and FUN..
Hi Peter and Herb and Jesse, I see that you are having quite an adventure. The trip sounds like it has been hughly fun and exciting. Everything is fine here. The animals look forward to seeing Peter, but they just may 'act out' when he gets home. Chili had a gigantic earthquake. I hope the rest of your trip is as wonderful as the part you have already done.
Okay... I just really looked at that map Jesse posted.... you really are at the end of the earth... such a different prespective when you see Antartica RIGHT THERE !!!!!!
